MADRAS LHC STARTS SEASON IN FINE FORM

Madras ladies started the new hockey season as they mean to continue - with victory in the season's opening tournament. Madras beat Dundee Wanderers 1-0 in the final of this year's Bell Trophy at DISC, after having won games against Brechin and Perthshire B (both 2-0) and holding Kinross to a 0-0 draw. The fantastic weather was matched by good hockey, and all of the Midlands teams are looking forward to starting the season next week. Madras' first league match will be on Saturday 26th September away against Perthshire.
